The mission of Pawprints of Portales Rescue is to use humane principles and education to save animals’ lives through rescue, adoption, spay/neuter services, and community programs.
Meet Leo
Leo is a 10 month old male Chihuahua mix. He is fixed and UTD on shots. Leo is friendly around cats and will do great with dogs of smaller size like him as larger dogs make him nervous. He is doing very well with his crate and leash training. He loves car rides and spending time with his person. Give little Leo a chance today. |

Meet Marge!
Marge and her son Bart were dumped on the streets of Portales. Luckily, they were rescued and shown kindness by their fosters. Bart finally found his forever home! Now it’s Marge’s turn! She is learning to trust people and are so sweet and open to love! Marge is approx. 1-2 years old, fixed and up to date on shots. She is a Great Pyrenees mix. While a little shy at first, she warms up and wants attention quickly. Marge is learning to walk on a leash, goes in a kennel great and does well around cats and dogs. Marge would love a patient family that will give her a chance to live in a home and get the love she deserves. |
