Mission Statement
The mission of Pawprints of Portales Rescue is to use humane principles and education to save animals’ lives through rescue, adoption, spay/neuter services, and community programs.
Meet Star
Star is an approx 2-3 year old black female. She will be ready for adoption when her vetting is completed through the rescue. Star was rescued from the Portales Shelter only one day after giving birth to her tiny kittens. Star has been an amazing mom and her babies are thriving! Star's shining personality has come through! She is chatty, loving and affectionate. She loves a good lap to cuddle on! She has been lightly introduced to calm dogs in her foster home and might do OK with the proper introduction. Star deserves a happily ever after in her forever home! |
GlendaGlenda is an approx 1 year old gorgeous, medium haired tabico female. She will be available soon once her vetting is completed by the rescue. Glenda is the fantastic mom to Elphie and Oz. This little family had a rough start! Glenda's babies were born in the Portales Shelter and lived in that kennel until they came to PPOP. Despite their sad and scary start, Glenda has been the best mom and her wonderful personality has shone through. She is playful, affectionate and sweet. Glenda loves to play with string toys and she loves her treats. Now that her little munchkins are ready to leave the nest, it's time for this sweet mom to find her forever home! |
Meet the pigs!
Pawprints of Portales always has pigs available. We have Male and Female. We will adopt out bonded pairs at a discounted price. The pairs are always 2 males or 2 females. We will not adopt out pigs of the same sex as we do not promote breeding. |
