Mission Statement
The mission of Pawprints of Portales Rescue is to use humane principles and education to save animals’ lives through rescue, adoption, spay/neuter services, and community programs.
Meet Wolverine
Wolverine and his sister Jean Grey were pulled from the Clovis shelter. Wolverine is approx. 8 months old; he is fixed and UTD on shots. He has beautiful long hair and bright eyes. Wolverine does not do well in kennels, cages or during adoption events. So, it’s hard for us to showcase what a great cat he is in a home! Wolverine is a little nervous at first, so he needs love and patience in his new home. He is very sweet, curious and wants pets on his own terms. He does great around other cats, and they really help boost his confidence. He has never been around dogs and might do ok around older children that can give him space to get comfortable in his environment. We want Wolverine to have a chance at happiness and love! If you’d like to meet Wolverine, reach out today! |
Meet SkySky is an approx 2 year old female with gorgeous, bright eyes. She was taken from her previous owner due to neglect. She still has a small scar over one of her eyes but it doesn't affect her one bit. Sky is very affectionate and loves cuddles. She is calm and enjoys chatting with her foster mom. Sky would prefer to be a only cat but she has done fine with other mild tempered cats. Give this sweet girl a second chance at her own, forever home today. |
Meet Marge!
Marge and her son Bart were dumped on the streets of Portales. Luckily, they were rescued and shown kindness by their fosters. Bart finally found his forever home! Now it’s Marge’s turn! She is learning to trust people and are so sweet and open to love! Marge is approx. 1-2 years old, fixed and up to date on shots. She is a Great Pyrenees mix. While a little shy at first, she warms up and wants attention quickly. Marge is learning to walk on a leash, goes in a kennel great and does well around cats and dogs. Marge would love a patient family that will give her a chance to live in a home and get the love she deserves. |
